Short bio
Renato Vidoni, Professor, received his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering (major: Automation) in 2005 and his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Information Engineering in 2009 from the University of Udine, Italy. Currently, he is Professor in Applied Mechanics, mechatronics and robotics at the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bolzano. His research activity is in the mechatronic and robotics field with more than 150 international publications. In particular, his research interests include high-performance (energy, vibration, safety, collaborative) automatic machines with rigid and flexible links; optimal motion planning of industrial (collaborative) robotic systems; from nature / to nature robotic and mechatronic systems.
