Censis
In 2023, for the seventh year in a row, we ranked first among the small non-state universities, and also achieved the highest average score.
International and National Rankings
In national rankings, our university reaches top positions every year. In 2023, for the seventh consecutive year, the Italian research centre for social studies Censis has ranked our university as number one among smaller private universities (less than 5,000 students). We rank high in international rankings too, especially under the categories "internationalisation", "student satisfaction" and "citations".
THE World University Rankings
In the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings placed unibz in the 401- 500 range out of nearly 1,799 institutions worldwide. Our strongest areas were "Citations" with a score of 83.3, placing us in the top 300, and "International Outlook" with a score of 74.2, also in the top 300. In Italy, we are ranked 19th out of the 56 universities included in the ranking. In the Small University Rankings 2023, we are ranked 21st.
QS World University Rankings
In 2023, unibz entered the QS World University Rankings again, securing a position in the 641– 650 range out of the 5,000 universities surveyed. It ranks among the top 220 in the metric "International Faculty Ratio".

The Faculty is currently working on 68 research projects of which 61 were started by the former Faculty of Science and Technology. The total value of the projects amounts to 9.2 million € (of which 90 % is externally financed) plus 9.6 million € financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza PNRR).
