I am full professor at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy and member of the International Software Engineering Research Network, ISERN. I was visiting researcher at the Max-Planck Institut für Mathematik in Bonn, Germany and at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. 
Between 2014-2017, I founded and was coordinator of the research group in Software and Systems Engineering (SwSE) at the Faculty  Computer Science now called SEAS. My most recent research focuses on Generative AI  & Software Engineering, Software and Systems Reliability and Testing, Programming and Software Development.
