This area of research makes use of the contribution of sciences such as school disciplines and didactics. In line with the Faculty’s mission, research develops topics related to the formation and development of competencies in children at nursery and primary school.
Particular emphasis is placed on: the educational areas at the pre-primary level (science-logics-mathematics, art-music-voice-movement, etc.) and the disciplinary subjects at primary school.
Studies in this area address cognitive, emotional, and affective processes that are activated by teaching strategies and contexts, as well as the concrete results of teaching and acquisition processes. A large part of the research carried out in this area is characterized as research for schools.
