Short bio
Paola Rovelli is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where she is a member of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management cluster and the Competence Centre for Mountain Innovation Ecosystems. She joined the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano as Assistant Professor in 2017, after she got the PhD summa cum laude in Management, Economic and Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on the allocation of decision authority at the top of firms’ hierarchy. She carries out research on firms’ management and organizational design, with particular attention towards family firms, CEOs and top management teams, individual characteristics (such as narcissism and gender), and innovation. She published research articles in Journal of Business Research, Journal of Management Studies, European Management Journal, Family Business Review, Human Relations, Human Resource Management Journal, Long Range Planning, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and The Leadership Quarterly, among others. She is a reviewer for leading academic journals such as Entrepreneurship, Theory & Practice, Family Business Review, Journal of Knowledge Management, Small Business Economics, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Knowledge Management and the Journal of Enterprising Communities.
