Researchers must consider the originality and relevance of their studies in order to have an impact on academia and beyond. Florian will reflect on his pursuit of making his research impactful. He leverages his tripartite OBC model to guide the development of courageous research ideas, consisting of three methodologies: Observe the world, Bridge disciplines, and Challenge assumptions and theories. Florian explains the OBC model and illustrates the use of the different methodologies through many exemplary research projects he published over the years.
