Community cooperatives represent an innovative model of local development, capable of combining active participation, the enhancement of resources, and a response to the needs of the community. Even in South Tyrol, these initiatives are establishing themselves as key tools for strengthening social cohesion and promoting a sustainable economy rooted in the territory.

The event aims to provide an opportunity for discussion and in-depth exploration of the role of community cooperatives, highlighting concrete experiences and best practices that are contributing to the growth of various areas, from alpine valleys to small villages. Through the contribution of academic experts and those working directly in the field, we will explore the potential of this model, analyzing the key factors for success and the challenges to be faced, with a specific focus on the regulatory framework and legislation that govern and support these initiatives. It is an opportunity to gain insight into the strategies adopted to revitalize local services, promote ecological transition, and create new job opportunities, while simultaneously strengthening the sense of belonging within communities.
