There are places in student halls of residence in both the city of Bolzano and the city of Bressanone. Many of these are offered by the public administration, others by private providers.
Kolpinghaus Bozen-Bolzano is situated in the city centre, just across from the University. The rooms are bright and comfortable. In addition there are many common rooms, including three communal kitchens, a room with a billiard table and a well equipped library. There is also a garden where you can enjoy sunny days.
The student hall is located in a quiet residential quarter of Bozen-Bolzano, just a few minutes of walk from the city centre and the University. All rooms are bright and pleasantly furnished. In the building there are two big and fully furnished shared kitchens, moreover common spaces and outdoor volleyball and soccer fields can be used by the students.
The Rainerum student dorm is located really close to the Free University of Bolzano‑Bozen in the heart of city. The building has been completely restored in 2004. The rooms are organised as an apartment unit with two single bedrooms, microwave and shared bathroom. On every floor there is a shared kitchen and on the upper floor there is a multimedia room. Also a fitness room, a common space and a laundry are available in the structure.
Right next to Marianum dorm we find the Peter Rigler dorm. Located few minutes from Bozen-Bolzano city centre and the University the Peter Rigler is the perfect place for living. Recently renewed and appealing, the student hostel offers, in addition to the living units, several common and leisure rooms.
Located in one of the best residential areas of Bozen-Bolzano the Haus St. Benedikt-Casa San Benedetto student hostel is surrounded by the vineyards of the Benedictine Monastery. It is a new and modern establishment with light and comfortable rooms. Hostel St. Benedict offers many common spaces with sports facilities. For a small monthly surcharge the students can help themselves from the rich buffet breakfast which is freshly prepared everyday.
The Elisabethinum is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Bozen‑Bolzano, just a few minutes from the city centre and the Free University of Bozen‑Bolzano. This historic building, originally built in 1904 and completely renovated in 2004, offers accommodation to 62 students.
The new building with its beautiful ellipse‑shaped architecture opened its doors in 2009. It is located a 10‑minute bus ride from the university campus. It is the largest student hostel in Bozen-Bolzano and offers comfortable and bright single rooms and units for two people with a shared kitchen and bathroom. The hostel has several common rooms where you can study, but also where you can do your workout and organize parties, a special highlight is the terrace ideal for summer aperitifs.
Local private institutions and companies are working on opening new private student halls in Bozen-Bolzano. Private student halls manage their own admission, rent, services.
The Seminary of Brixen-Bressanone, is an historical building which was refurbished in 2008, is situated in the heart of Brixen-Bressanone behind the cathedral. The building offers accommodation for 10 students. The single rooms are simple and functional. Students have access to the shared kitchen, to a common room and also to the other rooms from the library of the Philosophical-theological Academy.
Kolpinghaus Brixen-Bressanone is located in a residential area within walking distance of the Brixen-Bressanone campus, the city centre and the bus station and offers accommodation to 50 students. The single rooms on three floors are modern and functionally furnished. As well as rooms with private bathrooms, students have access to a number of communal areas including a kitchen with an outdoor terrace and a living room where they can study and spend their free time.
Casa St. Michael, is a modern building located in a residential area just a few steps from the railway station and a 10-minute walk from the university campus in Brixen-Bressanone. The bright, modernly furnished single rooms are distributed over two floors. A communal kitchen is available to students on each floor. In addition, the student residence has a gym, a large entrance area freely accessible to all and a roof terrace with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, a perfect place where you can study outdoors.
This student hostel, owned by the University of Padua, offers place for 40 residents. The rooms are light and functional. The shared facilities comprise a kitchen, a dining room, a study room and an attractive garden. The student hostel is located in close proximity to the center and the University.
