Teaching activities include academic writing courses at basic and intermediate level. These are offered in the three languages in use at unibz - English, German and Italian – and differentiated according to the specific conventions of each language.
Course 1 represents an introduction to basic writing skills. Students will learn how to produce coherent and well-structured sentences, paragraphs and texts in an appropriately formal style, and will develop competence in some important functions of formal writing.
Course 2 builds on the content covered in Course 1, with a focus on the specific conventions of academic writing in the chosen language. Students will learn how academic texts are typically structured, gain an understanding of academic style, and understand conventions related to citations and references.
Starting from the 2022/23 academic year, an advanced level course will be added.
