Short bio
Werner Nutt is a full professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Bozen since 2005. Prior to this, he was reader at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh (2000-2005), visiting professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and research scientist at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Saarbrücken (1992-2000).
His research interests are in data and knowledge management, with a focus on extracting structured information from text, ensuring data quality and organising knowledge-intensive processes. Since 2017, he is coordinating the ERDF project COCkPiT, which aims to create techniques and tools to model, schedule and monitor construction processes.
He has published more than 120 refereed papers and has an h-index of 35 on Google Scholar.
