Enrolment after the first yearThis page contains information for the students enrolled in a bachelor or master course. Please refer to the enrolment form for special training courses. Information regarding PhD courses is available here.

For the academic year 2011/2012, the deadline for the enrolment in the years after the first is 14th October 2011.

The payment receipt of the tuition fees must be attached to the form and submitted to the Student secretariat. Please retain a copy of the payment receipt for tax deduction purposes.
The application form and payment receipt can be handed in in different ways:
- by post
- by fax
- by email
- by putting them in the letter box outside the Student secretariat.
This avoids long queues at time of enrolment.

Delayed payment will result in a fine (32 Euro) being levied. Irregularities in payments automatically block the enrolment to exams and the access to the online accounts.

Conclusion of studies by March
Students who intend to sit their final degree exam by 31 March 2012 must enrol, but they do not pay any fee. In this case the form must be submitted in original with a 14,62 Euro duty stamp. Students who do not pass or postpone the exam, are required - at the expiration of the 2nd instalment - to pay the entire year fees with the fine for delayed payment.

Freemover
Students busy as Freemovers at another university in the first semester must not submit the form and should regularize their position upon payment of the second instalment. Students busy as Freemovers at another university for the first and second semester are not required to enroll in the years after the first.

Transfer to another course
Students who, according to admission rank lists, can proceed with a transfer to another course, must submit, by the deadline for enrolment, a transfer application (no application for the enrolment in the years after the first is required).

Transfer to the new study regulation (from M.D. 509 to M.D. 270)
Students transferring to a course of the old study regulation M.D. 509 to a course of the new one M.D. 270 shall fill in the transfer application and submit it together with the form for the enrolment in the years after the first by the same deadline.

Enrolment for students who are “fuori corso” (behind in your examinations or not enrolled for the successive year)
If you exceed the normal duration of your course, your enrolment status will be "fuori corso". From the second year as "fuori corso", you have to pay university fees with a € 300 surcharge. In order to calculate the fees, the repeated years will also be counted. In the event that you are admitted to a course after the first year following recognition of previously taken exams, the years used to take these exams will also be taken into consideration when calculating the amount of fees to pay. Eventual interruption years (entire academic years are concerned) will not be considered in calculation.

Frequently Asked Questions How does the enrolment into years other than the first work?
The Student secretariat will inform you by email as soon as you can enrol for subsequent years. The application form and payment receipt must be taken to the Student secretariat.
The expiry date on your Student card can then be extended using the machine in the Library, or directly at the Student secretariat putting the card in the machine provided.

When is the surcharge in fees payment due?
From the second year as "fuori corso" (behind in your studies), you have to pay tuition fees with a 300,00 € surcharge. This increase in fees does not apply to students who attend courses for support teachers nor those studying for a PhD.
