Work placement/internships and job opportunities An important aim that the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano takes very seriously is to encourage students to make contacts with the world of work; first and foremost through teaching, which doesn’t just concentrate on theory: as well as lectures there are also seminars, work placement programmes and practical work that allows students to put their skills into practice. What is also important is the experience that students gain through undertaking work placements, which can be both compulsory and optional depending on the degree course.

The Careers Advisory Service promotes and coordinates the interface between students and graduates, and the world of work: it has a database full of work placement and job offers, it organises the work placement schemes on an administrative level, coordinates part-time and seasonal job offers, organises trips to companies and institutions and allows students and graduates to make contact with various professional fields as well as organising seminars on research activities in the world of work.
