Bilateral agreements for student exchanges:
Detailed information for students of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano
To take part in this programme you have to pass a selection process held by your faculty, primarily based on your university carreer to date, on your language competence and on your motivation.
The
selection competitions are published every year in January for the following academic year, with deadlines around the middle of March. In the
competition guidelines you will find the necessary prerequisites, the amount of financial contribution (200 Euros/month for the bilateral agreements for the partner universities situated in Europe and 400 Euros/month for the bilateral agreements with universities outside Europe), together with the admission criteria and the deadlines for the submission of applications.
If you should be successful in the selection process, you will achieve the status of an exchange student, with the following advantages: exemption from payment of the host university’s student fees (with one exception: the California State Polytechnic University Pomona, which requires payment of $200 per term), access to all the structures and facilities of the host university under the same conditions as their own students, and recognition of your studies at the host university.
Before leaving, agree with your faculty on a study-plan to follow abroad. This will be recognised on your return as equivalent by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano: this document is called the ‘Learning Agreement’.
