The admission procedure, from the point of view of the candidates, is divided as follows:    
  • Pre-enrolment    
  • Selection procedure
  • Enrolment

Pre-enrolment

Candidates wishing to take part in the admission procedure must pre-enroll within 20th August 2012

Selection procedure

The selection procedure consists of an examination to determine the general and specialized knowledge (multiple choice test), to give the information about the prior knowledge in the field of logic, mathematics and science subjects.
The ranking results from the participation of the candidates on the aptitude test. In case of a tie situation it will be decided by lot.

Admission ranklists

Two admission ranklists will be drawn up, based on the results of the selection procedure: one for EU citizens (and citizens of other countries who enjoy parity of treatment) and one for non-EU citizens resident abroad. The ranklists will be published by 10 September 2012 on the website of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano (www.unibz.it) and are only valid for the academic year for which they have been drawn up.

It is possible to enroll starting from the date of publication of the rank list and within 3rd October 2012. 

Enrolment has to be effected online or in the Student Secretariat.

Master 2nd level "CasaClima - KlimaHaus"

Anyone who has completed 5 years of university studies can apply for the Master 2nd level “CasaClima - KlimaHaus”. In order to participate at the selection process it is necessary to hold a master's degree of the degree classes 4/S (architecture and construction engineering) or 28/S (civil engineering) or another Italian or foreign degree, which is considered equivalent by the Commission for the selection procedure. Also those who completed a 5-year degree, of the respective degree classes (architecture, construction and civil engineering) according to the rules that prevailed before the university reform, can subscribe to the selection procedure.

Next cycle

The Master "CasaClima - KlimaHaus" starts every two years. The next cycle will begin in October 2013 and finish in October 2014. 

Pre-enrolment will probably be possible from June to August 2013. The exact period will be published in time on this website.

Student intake

The number of students is limited; each academic year 20 participants will be admitted.

Enrolment fee

Actually the enrolment fee for this Master is € 7.500,00 (plus the annual provincial study tax of € 130,50).


PhD Programme in Management of Mountain Environment
PhD Programme in Sustainable Energy and Technologies

Every year the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano decrees the institution of a new PhD cycle, and announces a public competition for the admission to the corresponding PhD reserach programmes.

The public competition is open to all, regardless of sex, age and citizenship, who possess a Master degree (laurea magistrale), an Italian undergraduate degree according to the former system or a foreign degree equivalent to the degrees mentioned above.
