Press and Event ManagementThe Press and Event Management department is the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano’s communications nerve centre and is the main office in charge of marketing the university.  
The work of the press office involves maintaining contact with journalists, writing press releases  and reports for the media, organising press conferences, seeing to the PR of university events, issuing UniNews, compiling the press review and giving media advice to the university management.  
The communication sector of the department is responsible for updating the main web pages,  liasing with the web-proofreaders, compiling and updating the media image bank, managing the typefaces and overseeing cross-departmental communication projects.  
The marketing sector includes  the launching of publicity campaigns, negotiating with publishing houses and other media firms, developing new markets, establishing a media plan, producing the university’s information material, organising and carrying out university/further education fairs and open days, overseeing  the university’s corporate design, seeing to the merchandising and the UniShops and conducting market research.
