Language requirementsIn order to have a chance to get something out of the lectures and other classes at the FUB, students should come with a good or advanced knowledge of the languages at the University.
However, most bi- and trilingual degree courses admit students who are beginners in one of the three languages.

Minimum language requirements to start undergraduate (bachelor) degree programmes
The requirements to be admitted for undergraduate (bachelor) degree programmes is achieving the B2 level (following the Common European Framework of Reference’s levels) in two of the three teaching languages.
You don’t have to have any proficiency in the third language in order to enrol at the beginning, but if you are a beginner or false beginner in this language, it is very important that you attend a language course organised by the Language Centre in August and September before you start your studies.
If you haven’t managed to certify proficiency in the third language before the beginning of the first year, you will have to attend a language course organised by the University’s Language Centre during your first year.
There are no credit points given for this course. At the end of the first year, you will then have to pass a language test in your third language at the Language Centre or present an international certificate that appears in this table (at the A2 level for courses at the Faculty of Science and Technology and at the B1 level for all the other courses).

If you are a non-EU citizen resident abroad and you are interested in enrolling for an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree course, you will also have to pass an Italian language test that is required by Italian law set at the beginning of September.
