Johann Drumbl studied German philology together with drama and theatre studies at the University of Graz, Rome and Vienna. Since graduating (Dr. Phil.) he has been teaching German Language and Literature at the Italian Universities of Bergamo, Pavia, Florence, Trieste, and the Catholic University of Milan. He was Founding Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Modena-Reggio Emilia. His research interests concern literary hermeneutics in situations of language encounter and in the field of translation as well as theoretical and applied dimensions of second language acquisition.

		Prof. Yuriy Kaniovskyi Vice rector for Research Tel: +39 0471 013150

Yuriy Kaniovskyi studied random processes at the State University of Kiev, Ukraine.  In 1980 he received from the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences a medal for young scientists for the best research. Upon accomplishing a doctorate in Operations Research at the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics in Kiev, he had held a professorship at the same institution. Professor Kaniovskyi had worked for several multidisciplinary research projects at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Laxenburg, Austria.
