• University lifelong learning (ULLL)
The Development Office assists in the setting up of academic continuing education programmes. The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano is committed to and promotes university-level continuing education and adds to and improves postgraduate education opportunities through the establishment of first and second level master programmes, training courses, professional development courses and vocational training.The support services offered by the Office for academic staff and the faculties cover all the procedures involved in the setting up of new training proposals: from initial needs analysis and feasibility studies to final evaluation (customer satisfaction).The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano has been part of the EUCEN, European Universities Continuing Education Network, and Lifelong Learning Observatory since 2006.

•  University development policies
The Development Office is involved with the setting up and writing of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano’s strategic development plans. Together with Controlling, the Development Office monitors the indicators and the procedures in the plan. The Office is also the University’s link with the national three-year plan database operated by the Ministry for Universities (Pro 3).

• Quality management
The Development office suggests initiatives to ensure quality management and control within the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano following the system and processes from the ENQA European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
