  European Universities Continuing Education Network and Lifelonglearning ObservatoryThis is the main European network that organises annual conferences that focus on continuing education at university level. The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano has been part of this network since 2006.
  Trends 2010: A decade of change in European Higher Education ...to be continued.
  European Universities’ Charter on Lifelong Learning  - A document created in 2008 by the European University Association (EUA) at the request of the French Prime Minister, M. François Fillon. The Charter is the product of extensive research and is an instrument to encourage continuing education in the universities and the society of tomorrow.
  Lifelong Learning and widening access – is the fifth chapter of the publication “Trend V: Universities shaping the European Higher Education Area” from the European University Association (EUA). This is a survey that the EUA conducts every two years and which, apart from depicting the European situation, highlights the emerging tendencies in university policies.
  The Bonn Declaration on university-enterprise cooperation in the context of lifelong learning - The final document produced at the conference held in Bonn in June 2007 and co-financed by the European Commission as part of the Socrates programme. The document traces what has been realised by the European Union so far and, by identifying the main referents, outlines roles and indicates objectives to achieve.
  Action plan for continuing education – Decision of the European Parliament and Council published on 15 November 2006. The decision implemented the “Continuing Education Plan” structured as the Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig programmes.
  Adult education: It’s never too late to learn! – Communication from the European Commission published on 23 November 2006. The document sets the parameters for continuing education policies, fixing common benchmarks for the various member states.
  The modernisation agenda for universities: teaching, research and innovation - Communication from the European Commission published on 10 May 2006. This document presents the challenges that European universities have to face, one of which is the development of policies to promote continuing education at university level.

  Ministerial work group for continuing education - Set up on 17 May 2007 by the former minister, Mr Mussi, this work group, besides being on the ministry’s website has also produced its own guidelines “Linee di Indirizzo”.
