Summer School 2010: Digital Libraries - Welcome
September 20-24, 2010 in Bozen-Bolzano/Italy
The idea to organize a Summer School was born during a coffee break last year as the topic of the Summer School »Digital Libraries Special Applications« is an important issue for the international community of Library and Information Sciences specialists.
The three partners (the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, the University of Innsbruck and the University of Applied Sciences for Public and Justice Administration, Dept. of Archival and Library Sciences in Munich) have worked together successfully during various projects for many years, and as a consequence have decided to organize this Summer School.
It is a pleasure for us to give a warm welcome to all participants: Bachelor, Master and PhD students as well as librarians and young scholars in the field of Library and Information Science are invited to take part in the Summer School. We are looking forward to meeting students and teachers from the partner institutions and our friends from Geneva, as well as other specialists from Spain and Hungary. And last but not least we hope for more Summer Schools to follow!
All sessions will be held at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Universitätsplatz 1 - piazza Università 1, room D101 (main building, 1st floor).
