Eduroam (Education Roaming) makes it possible: You can access the internet via wireless LAN with your username and password in several educational and research institutions in different countries!
Guest lectures, exchange semester, business trips,….: Access the internet via wireless LAN in a
quick and easy way by using your account! You don’t need to get a guest account anymore, simply use your existing network account.
Eduroam at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano – Scientific Network South Tyrol
Students and collaborators of every university and scientific institution participating in the eduroam project can access the wireless LAN of the Scientific Network South Tyrol by using the network account of their home university. The access via wireless LAN is possible at the campus in Bozen, Brixen or Bruneck, at the European Academy Bozen or at one of the numerous partner institutions of the Scientific Network South Tyrol.

Parameters for configuration:
We recommend to test the configuration at the home institution before using it at any partner institution. Configuration is done similarly to the configuration of the WLAN „ScientificNetworkSouthTyrol“. We offer a detailed configuration manual for eduroam for the operating systems Windows Vista, MacOSX.
Please keep using the WLAN „ScientificNetworkSouthTyrol“ within the Scientific Network South Tyrol in order to have access to local resources like printers or file servers; we recommend to use the WLAN „eduroam“ only for testing the configuration.
