The Tourism Management Club is a project coordinated by the Majors in Tourism Management and Sport and Event Management.

The Tourism Management Club (TMC) was founded in October 1997 by some ambitious Tourism Management students of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.  The TMC is now a course and research project of the two Majors in Tourism Management and Sport and Event Management of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Every year eighteen students coordinate this project. It is rated as an optional subject and is worth 5 credit points.

The aim of the TMC is to set up links between science and practice and to be a communications platform for tourism in South Tyrol and beyond. The TMC tries to anticipate future developments in the sectors of Tourism Management and Sport and Event Management and to make them the subject of discussion in the form of lectures and discussions with well-known speakers from the fields of economics and science. The events take place once a month from October until May.

The Tourism Management Club appeals to the following groups: university students and professors, entrepreneurs in the service sector, representatives of tourist institutions, associations, tourism advisors, location managers, event managers, sports managers, journalists, etc.
The TMC is financed by partners and by the support of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
