Internship: Bachelor in Tourism, Sport and Event Management
Students of the Bachelor in Tourism, Sport and Event Management have to carry out an obligatory internship within a company of the duration of minimum 150 hours. Conditions of the internship: it must provide the intern with opportunities to put into practice, within the respective areas of the company/institution assigned, the theoretical knowledge acquired during the course of studies.The duties undertaken by the intern may be carried out within a company department or, preferably, be part of a project. In no case may the duties carried out by the intern include helping-out services of any kind whatsoever. Hosting institution in Italy: the maximum number of interns that can be accepted by one company depends on the number of employees engaged in the permanent workforce of the said company according to these established standards:
Maximum duration: students can carry out an educational or orientational internship for a maximum of 12 months during their period of studies (maximum 6 month at one company). The same rule holds true for students who have recently graduated and who, within 18 12 months of completing their course of studies, wish to attend doctoral training programmes or courses of specialization. For those with handicaps the maximum duration is of 24 months (see the Ministerial Decree of 25.03.1998 no. 142, art. 7 and Ministerial Decree from 1308. 2011, Nr. 138).
