Name: Jana Rückert
Student representative on which board: Academic Senate
Degree programme: Bachelor in Multilingual Communication Science
In which year are you studying: 4th

Why have you decided to stand as a candidate?
I decided to re-candidate because there were still many things which I still wanted to get involved with. Also, I want to help the new student speakers get familiar with the topics and their tasks.

How would you assess the current state of the university?
In the last two years I was able to see and be a part of many positive developments e.g. regarding the new language policy and the increased involvement of students in decision making; I hope these changes will continue and that the university will more and more understand how to benefit from its core strengths – which are in my view its small size, its youth and its trilingualism.

Which are the most important goals that you want to achieve?
I would like to continue to push for improved communication between the faculties/administrative bodies and students. I think we students should be able to expect to be informed correctly and in time about any changes and decisions regarding us and our studies. Also, I think there is still room for improvement in the evaluation of didactics, in language teaching and in the campus life in Brixen-Bressanone.
